Brian Schneble, GTS Director of Cyber Security
Brian Schneble is a security professional and community leader who assists both public and private enterprises of various sizes, to integrate security processes/systems within their organizations to defend potential threats as well as “actors” in today’s highly technical and advanced cyber environment.
Before beginning a career in cybersecurity, Brian worked over 15 years in the automotive manufacturing industry, leading advanced engineering teams and was the Director of Sales in North America for one of the largest original equipment (OE) suppliers globally. After a successful career helping grow the artificial intelligence (AI) Autonomy and Electrification business units and rallying the community and industry leaders around the transformation of Detroit, Brian is now focused on applying the lessons of machine learning, AI and behavioral engines to the cybersecurity business.
Brian also has a passion for cooking and has been a competitor and finalist on MasterChef and the “F” Word with Gordon Ramsey. He also enjoys lots of “backyard fun” with his family and friends, as well as gardening and boating during the summer months in MI.
Erik Wille, Chief Information Security Officer for American Axle & Manufacturing
Erik Wille is the Chief Information Security Officer for American Axle & Manufacturing. In this role he is responsible for the Global Information Security program. He is passionate about transforming security into a game changing business differentiator driving risk centric results in a complex environment while empowering employees to make sound risk decisions in and out of the office.
Prior to joining AAM, Erik was the Head of Information Security for Penske Automotive Group where he had the opportunity to build a global information security program from the ground up.
Erik is the VP and Treasurer for the Detroit CSA chapter, Co-Host on the Great Security Debate Podcast, holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Information Assurance from Walsh College, is working on his Executive MBA at the University of Michigan, and is certified as a CISSP, GPEN, GWAPT and CCSK.
Darrell Brown, Benchmark's Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), for Benchmark Electronics, Inc.
Darrell Brown has been appointed Benchmark's Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), for Benchmark Electronics, Inc. He has over 30 years of experience in information security and compliance in both the public and private sectors. He has worked in a variety of roles within the security and intelligence fields, including leadership roles at multiple Fortune 1000 companies, government organizations, and consulting firms. He has a deep knowledge of security principles and procedures, as well as an understanding of the threats and risks associated with information technology.
Darrell is a retired Navy Chief with over 23 years of combined military service most of which was in the intelligence community. He has multiple tours in combat zones where he was challenged to solve complex intelligence problems in resource constrained environments. He also spent six years as a Department of Army civilian, where he led the cybersecurity and Army Program Protection programs for Program Executive Office Combat Support and Combat Service Support (PEO CS&CSS). He was responsible for the cybersecurity of approximately 320 programs of record and ensuring they attained and retained their Authority to Operate (ATO).
Darrell holds a master's degree in Homeland Security with a concentration in Counterterrorism and a bachelor's degree in Security Management with a concentration in Information Security from American Military University. He also has specialized training through the military for Cybersecurity Supply
Chain Security and Department of Defense IT and software acquisition. As well as, experience in multiple intelligence disciplines. He uses his spare time to give back to the community sitting on multiple
advisory boards as well as volunteering as the Director of Faith Partnerships and Chaplain for Flanders Fields. Flanders Fields is an organization devoted to helping veterans struggling with homelessness and addictions recognize they are valued and have purpose by offering a hand up versus a handout.
Ryan Mostiller, Security Operations Manager for BorgWarner
Ryan Mostiller is a security leader in the Metro Detroit community, currently serving as the Security Operations Manager for BorgWarner. After a decade in both technical and management roles in security, Ryan enjoys any opportunity to engage with fellow practitioners and share learnings. Ryan has worked across various industries and within several Fortune 500 companies, most recently in the automotive industry.
Ryan has a Masters in IT Management from Oakland University and bachelors in Information Technology, along with security certifications from GIAC. You may have seen other presentations that Ryan has created and presented at, including SecureWorld, GrrCON, ISC2, and Evanta. Ryan has also co-developed and taught an OU Executive MBA course at Oakland University titled "Cybersecurity for Executives" in 2023.
Ryan enjoys the four seasons and beauty of living in Michigan, where he spends time outdoors with his family and children in the greater Oakland County area.
